Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of Fridgy, including the iPhone app, website, and related services.

Agreement to These Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using Fridgy, you agree to these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

What Fridgy Provides

Fridgy is a nutrition and cooking companion app. It lets you scan your fridge to detect ingredients, scan meals to estimate calories and macros, scan barcodes to look up products, generate and search recipes from what you have, log food and water, track calorie and macro targets, record weight and progress, and view insights — along with onboarding personalization, optional Apple Health sync, optional reminders, and related settings.

Fridgy is independently developed and operated by Khamid Kholmatov. It is a helpful lifestyle tool — it is not medical, nutritional, or dietary advice, and it is not a substitute for a qualified healthcare professional, dietitian, or your own judgment.

Nutrition Estimates, Recipes, and Allergens

Calorie targets, macro targets, nutrition values, recipe suggestions, and the foods and quantities detected from photos or barcodes are estimates generated using calculations, third-party data, and AI. They can be inaccurate or incomplete and will not match every food, portion, or person exactly.

You are responsible for verifying ingredients and nutrition before you rely on them — especially for allergies, intolerances, and medical or dietary conditions. AI-generated recipes and the app’s allergen handling are best-effort and may be wrong; always check the actual ingredients and labels yourself, and consult a professional when accuracy matters to your health.

Your Account

You can create and access your account with Apple sign-in, Google sign-in, or an email address and password. You are responsible for keeping your credentials and sign-in provider access secure and ensuring your profile information is accurate. Contact support if you believe your account was accessed without permission.

Your Data and Settings

Fridgy stores your account details, profile, nutrition targets, food and water logs, weight check-ins, fridge items, saved recipes, and app preferences as detailed in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the information you enter and the items you log, and you can edit or delete them where the app allows.

Permissions

Some features rely on device permissions you control in iOS Settings:

Camera — for fridge, meal, and barcode scanning.
Photos — to scan a meal or fridge from an existing picture, or to add progress photos.
Apple Health — optional two-way sync of weight, energy, steps, meals, and water.
Notifications — optional on-device reminders.

You can decline or revoke any of these; the affected feature simply won’t function, and you can still use the rest of the app and enter foods and ingredients manually.

Subscriptions and Payments

Fridgy offers Fridgy Premium, an auto-renewing subscription that unlocks premium features. Plans are offered on a monthly or annual basis and may include a free trial. Pricing is shown in the app before you purchase and may vary by region and over time.

Payment is charged to your Apple App Store account at confirmation of purchase.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
You can manage or cancel your subscription, and turn off auto-renewal, in your App Store account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.

Subscriptions are managed and validated through Apple and RevenueCat. We do not receive or store your payment card details.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse Fridgy or its services, including attempting to disrupt the app, bypass security or usage controls, scrape or overload services, reverse engineer restricted components, upload unlawful or harmful content, impersonate others, or harm other users or our service providers.

Third-Party Services

Fridgy relies on Supabase, Apple, Google, OpenAI, USDA FoodData Central, Open Food Facts, and RevenueCat. These services have their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party outages, changes, or data accuracy, but we select providers that support core functionality.

Intellectual Property

Fridgy, including its design, branding, interface, animations, text, and original content, is owned by Fridgy or its licensors. Personal, non-commercial use is permitted. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works without permission, except where the law permits. Nutrition data, provider APIs, and AI-generated content may be subject to separate rights, licenses, and provider terms.

Service Changes

We may update, improve, remove, suspend, or discontinue parts of Fridgy at any time, including fixing bugs, changing designs, adding or removing features, adjusting subscription plans and pricing, or changing how scanning, recipes, targets, and tracking work.

Termination

You may stop using Fridgy at any time. Account deletion is available in the app under Profile → Delete account. Cancelling a subscription is done through your App Store account and is separate from deleting your Fridgy account. Access may be suspended or terminated if you violate these terms, create risk for the app or other users, or use the service unlawfully.

Disclaimers

Fridgy is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, and error-free performance are disclaimed. No guarantees are made regarding nutrition estimates, scan results, recipes, targets, or third-party data accuracy, availability, or suitability.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fridgy and its owner, developers, partners, and service providers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or any health or dietary decisions made from use of the app. Some jurisdictions disallow certain liability limitations, so some provisions may not apply to you.

Applicable Law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable to the app operator, unless mandatory local consumer-protection laws in your place of residence require otherwise.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as Fridgy changes. Material changes will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, provide notice in the app or on the website. Continued use after changes indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
